A minimalist approach to achieving your goals
These 3 components may be all we truly need.
Hello and Welcome!
Welcome back to The Digital Minimalist. Each week, I share actionable tips to stay productive in our cluttered and distracting world.
You can do anything but not everything
Most of us, myself included, chase too many goals and hobbies.
Social media and online marketing have led us to believe that we must pursue extravagant achievements and engage in a variety of activities to lead a meaningful life.
But life can be simple and meaningful.
This quote I recently came across provides an escape from the endless cycle of wanting more.
“The three components of happiness are something to do, someone to love, and something to look forward to.”
I'm not saying we should abandon our diverse interests and aspirations.
Rather, at each point in life, these three components of happiness may be all we truly need.
As we near the end of 2024, perhaps it is a good time to ask ourselves if we are spreading our attention and efforts too thin.
More straightforwardly, what are your three components for 2025?
P.S. We're thinking of creating minimalist one-page planners in Notion to help you achieve your goals and complete your to-dos in 2025. If you have any ideas or requests, we'd love to hear from you.

Quote of the Week
“We should not, like sheep, follow the herd of creatures in front of us, making our way where others go, not where we ought to go.”
Only by letting go of societal expectations and superficial advice can you listen more closely to what you truly want to be and do.
I hope you enjoyed this issue, and I will talk to you soon next week.
